My Projects Abroad
The backbone of our program structure is MyProjectsAbroad. Every volunteer gets access to this online database upon acceptance into a Projects Abroad program.

You should login to MyProjectsAbroad as soon as you are accepted, and check back occasionally as you prepare for your trip. We will email you each time that we place new information on your MyProjectsAbroad profile.

Emergency and Local Contact Details
Phone numbers, email addresses and office locations for on-the-ground support staff are available on MyProjectsAbroad. From the first time you login, you will know: who are our staff are in-country, where to find them, and how to get help in an emergency.
Project Profile
About a month before your placement starts, we will post a profile of your project. (We do not give this earlier because, often when third parties are involved, details change.) This profile will include photos, the name and contact information of your on-site supervisor, location and background information on your project, as well as a summary of your role as a volunteer.
Accommodation Profile
About a month before your placement starts, we will post a profile of your host-family or other accommodation arrangement. (We do not give this earlier because, often when third parties are involved, details change.) This profile will include photos, the name, contact details and background information of your host-family (or, if not staying with a family, your accommodation supervisor), and other relevant details.
Packing Lists & Visas
We provide a detailed packing list for each project with includes advice on any specialised clothing or gear that you may need to bring with you (depending on your project.)
We also provide all of the relevant information for your visa application (if required). We provide the advice, forms, and supporting documents. All you have to do is follow our lead.
Financial Management
You can keep track of your remaining balance with Projects Abroad, make payments by credit card and print off receipts through our secure, online system.
Flight Arrangements
Upload your own flight details, or have our recommended travel agent suggest a flight itinerary. Detailed arrival procedures are included, so you know exactly where to find us when you step off the plane.
